Early Beginnings
Wes began his musical journey at age 15 in his hometown of Henderson, North Carolina, performing with a local band called Brain Vacation. These early experiences laid the foundation for his artistry and passion—a launching point for a creative career that would span styles, geographies, and performance formats.
Musical Journey
Wes is a founding member of The Great Funktier, a high-energy funk/jam band that became a fan favorite in Telluride, playing iconic venues like the Last Dollar Saloon, The Llama, and the Sheridan Opera House.
His earlier work with Chrome Velvet showcased his adaptability in joining larger groups to perform for weddings across the country.
His current project, The Realtorz, brings his talents to finely tuned duo and trio performances throughout Asheville’s vibrant music scene.
